The speech pathologist provides evaluation and treatment for patients referred to the Speech and Language Pathology Department and takes part in Continuing Education and fund-raising activities as assigned.
valuate communicative dysfunction, give recommendations and provide patient treatment.
Documentation of patient evaluation/treatment in Epic system and outcome input in Noms.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education / Training:
· Master’s Degree, Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), ASHA.
B. Work Experience:
· Experience in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders, evaluation and treatment, including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, laryngectomy, stuttering, and voice disorders.
· Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies.
C. Certification, Licensure, Registration:
· Certificate of Clinical Competence, America Speech-Language-Hearing Association, (required) or
· Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
· Licensure in Speech Pathology-Michigan (required) or temporary license during the CFY (required)
